The technological development during the past two decades, particularly in television and information technology, has put up an enormous and sudden pressure on the human mind. Amrik Binapal’s 2012 book “Quest for Peace: Peace Is the Natural Balance” (published by iUniverse), which is getting a revived marketing push in 2013, examines this gap and shows the difference between the reality and the illusions of life that is widening every day. Man’s desire for material things has increased to the extent that people are not able to make the right choices and maintain the correct balance in their lives.
According to Binapal, science has delivered many wonderful things, but people have lost the peace and calm of a less hurried life. They are, he says, just running without knowing what they need exactly – and what they don’t need. His book takes on the premise that the moral values that might help to balance the situation seem to have taken a back seat to the fast pace of today’s world.
A poetry collection, “Quest for Peace” chronicles the author’s innermost thoughts based upon his life experiences with the hope that it might ease the pressure of everyday life for everyone. This book revolves around the development of the spirit of love and peace among all people, the foundation that makes the world the “Kingdom of God”.
Seeking peace in conflict, hope in despair, light in darkness and life in the shadows of misery, poverty, disease and death are overall themes in the volume.
It takes place in the hearts and minds of all the people seeking peace. It may help them empower the strengths of their bodies and minds to their souls and pull them out of the fears like that of disease and death.
It may, finally, fix them on the track of righteousness and lead them to the destination of everlasting bliss and eternal life.
