“It’s heartbreaking to know that over a 1,000 dogs are left without care in our community per year. Imagine what would happen to these precious animals without the remarkable work of the Alaska Dog & Puppy Rescue."

As an all-volunteer organization, the Alaska Dog & Puppy Rescue in Palmer, Alaska, is receiving outside support from the community through the efforts of Devery Prince Insurance Agency. The agency has created a campaign goal to collect dog food and supplies to help feed nearly 1,000 dogs that are rescued and place at the shelter each year. “It’s heartbreaking to know that over a 1,000 dogs are left without care in our community per year. Imagine what would happen to these precious animals without the remarkable work of the Alaska Dog & Puppy Rescue. Our agency has vowed to make every effort to make sure as many dogs are fed through our campaign,” said Devery Prince, principal of Devery Prince Insurance Agency.

The Alaska Dog & Puppy Rescue (ADPR) was originally formed as a Rescue organization to help meet the needs of the Mat-Su Valley and its pet overpopulation problem. Although they focus more heavily on rescues in the Mat-Su Valley and Anchorage, they also work in connection with village rescue groups and air freight companies saving numerous dogs in the Bush and other outlying areas. To help this cause, Devery Prince Insurance Agency asks that canned or dry food and supplies can now be dropped off at the agency’s two locations, at 401 E. Fireweed Ln #200, Anchorage, AK 99503 or 165 E. Parks Hwy, #104, Wasilla, AK 99654

Devery Prince Agency is employing its social media channels, email and text message communications in the campaign, and dedicating a full page of their monthly magazine to the cause. The electronic version of Our Hometown magazine can be viewed here: http://www.deveryprinceagency.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_43. In addition to promoting the campaign to gather donations, the agency will also contribute $10 to the cause for each person recommended to them for an insurance quote – no purchase necessary.

Operating as agents of change in the community, Devery Prince Insurance Agency will continue to support worthy causes, and announces that any members of the community can request to be considered for future campaigns through this link: http://www.deveryprinceagency.com/Submit-A-Community-Cause-Idea_49. Entries are diligently submitted for review, and the elected stories are properly selected by a representative of Devery Prince Insurance Agency Community Program.
