Armed with a dream and a commitment to see it through, Susan Levine, 13, of ItouchTechTalk.com has launched a crowdfunding campaign to change the way iPod Touch (iTouch), iPhone, and iPad applications are developed. She has pulled together a remarkable team that has bought into creating the first known community funded and designed iTouch, iPhone, and iPad application.
Susan's dream was born when her highly successful online mentor, Tellman Knudson answered her question of how she could serve and contribute more to her fans and subscribers at iTouchTechTalk.com when he answered "Create an App for the iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad." Since then, there's been no holding her back, until now. She ran out of money. That's when she decided to get community involvement by utilizing the power of crowdfunding.
Fortunately there are organized online crowdfunding websites designed to raise those much needed funds to help dreamers complete their goals. Susan selected GoFundMe for her project named "Arcade Extravaganza - Bonanza Of Arcade Games For The iTouch/iPhone/iPad" and is excited about the great support she has already received. Future plans include making Arcade Extravaganza available to Droid smartphone users too.
When Susan was asked why she chose GoFundMe instead of some other crowd funding sites she said, "We need $6,000 to get the first game of the application made, GoFundMe has a lot of features and at the same time is easier for donation contributors to use. I know we will make it with everyone's help!" Susan says additional funding procured beyond the initial $6,000 goal will be used to create the 5 remaining games and complete her Arcade Extravaganza application.
Susan is a true winner and becoming an icon in what can be achieved. She has already encountered many obstacles while striving to reach her goal. Yet she continues to press on in making her dream a reality, and it doesn't stop there. Allowing the crowdfunding community to provide input into the outcome of her application is another unknown hurdle for her, but something she claims that will help to make Arcade Extravaganza a number one hit. In addition, she is committed to quality, stability, and regular updates that will result in a feature rich product.
Crowdfunding can work for anyone and anything as long as a community can be found that supports the idea. But more importantly than that is what is in the heart of the person who is attempting to coordinate and organize the project.
