Burlington, Mass. (PRWEB) December 1, 2010
Arcadia Solutions, a national healthcare IT consultancy, recently announced a partnership with the Missouri Primary Care Association (MPCA) to implement and leverage health information technology for improved quality outcomes and decreased healthcare costs in the state.
The initiative, currently underway, represents a statewide priority to gather and standardize electronic patient health information for the evidence-based decision making that can lead to better healthcare results. With its focus on healthcare improvement, MPCA is leading the push to craft and deploy IT solutions that will uniformly capture and leverage clinical data in an effort to increase the quality and cost-effectiveness of healthcare for Missouri residents.
In order to accomplish this vision, MPCA looked to partner with an organization that had proven skills and methodologies in the area of health IT advancement.
“Quality care improvement is a continuous focus of our organization,” said Joseph Pierle, CEO of MPCA. “By bringing Arcadia to the table, we include the necessary industry expertise and thought leadership to ensure our program’s success.”
The Arcadia Solutions team is working with MPCA’s member Health Centers to ensure the collection of accurate and standardized clinical data within each organizations Electronic Health Record system. The initiative will enable them to conduct patient population management and enable benchmarking across care settings to identify best practices which can be adopted across the MPCA membership. This will be accomplished by creating standard data management tools across each of the health centers, as well as providing a direct, real-time view into actual clinical, financial, and operational performance levels by leadership staff.
“We look forward to continued collaboration with a partner that takes a hands-on, results-oriented approach,” said Susan Wilson, chief operating officer of MPCA. “It’s encouraging to work with an organization like Arcadia that seeks responsibility in achieving an end-goal.”
Organizational best practices, technology and structural transformation will be deployed to ensure streamlined activities across MPCA’s 21 Community Health Centers and the 8 different IT systems they utilize.
“Arcadia is excited to engage our industry experience and continue our work with health information technology improvement efforts in the state of Missouri,” said Alvin Lin, a principal consultant at Arcadia and project manager for the MPCA partnership. “The MPCA has a great vision for the future of healthcare and we look forward to achieving success together.”
