Artiklz Presses Forward Towards Final Voting Round for Mashable Open Web Award

Conversation search engine provider in contention for Open Web 2.0 award.

Irvine, CA (PRWEB) December 3, 2008 -- Artiklz (http://artiklz.com), the company that brings you conversation search, today announced that it has made it to the Final Voting Round of the 2nd Annual Mashable Open Web Awards in the category of search and social search. The Open Web Awards is the only multilingual international online voting competition that covers major innovations in web technology. Through an online nominating and voting process, the Open Web Awards recognizes and honors the top achievements in 26 categories. Winners last year included Facebook, Digg, Google, Meetup, Twitter, Netvibes, woot!, Last.fm and Mahalo.

This year over 43,000 start-ups contested in the first round of open nominations in the 26 categories. Of this initial group, the 10 companies with the most nominations in each category moved on to the Online Round of Voting. The top 3 companies now move on to the Final Round and Artiklz is excited to be one of the three companies in this exclusive group. The other two companies vying for the OWA in the Search and Social Search category are Scour and findingDulcinea.

Mashable partners with over 100 blog partners, and uses Poll Daddy for extra security and ease of voting. This year Mashable extended the nominations period and voting rounds for greater participation. Voting schedule as follows:

 
  • Wednesday, November 19, 2008 | Online Voting Round 1
  • Wednesday, December 3, 2008 | Final Round Voting
  • Sunday, December 14, 2008 I Final Round Voting Ends 11:50 pm
  • Tuesday, December 16, 2008 | Winners Announced
  • Nominations and Voting periods end the Sunday prior to the next round at 11:59 PM PST (-8 GMT).
