Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA Management, Ltd., will be serving as a panelist at the 2013 Illinois Governor's Conference on Affordable Housing scheduled for April 23 and 24 at the UIC Forum, 725 W. Roosevelt Rd. in Chicago, Illinois.
The conference is being hosted by the Illinois Housing Development Authority and the Illinois Housing Council.

He will be joined on the panel by Kelly Cunningham of the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services, and Jerry Finis, President and CEO of Pathway Senior Living.
The Department of Healthcare and Family Services is responsible for approving and regulating Supportive Living communities.
Burkett also will be a speaker in a panel discussion on how implementing Evidence-Based Design in affordable housing can help improve the quality of life for residents, reduce turnover, and have a positive impact on the bottom line. He will be joined on the panel by Mark Skender, Executive Vice President of Skender Construction, Larry Pusateri, Vice President with the Lighten-Gale Group, and a speaker from NeighborWorks America.
The conference also will feature the presentation of the Illinois Affordable Housing Champion Awards and a keynote address by Michael Stegman, Counselor to the Secretary of the Treasury for Housing Finance Policy.
