Heritage Woods of McHenry, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is hosting a Western Day on Tuesday, July 16, that will feature lunch and a performance by Rick Pickren, the Singing Cowboy.

The community, which is located at 4609 W. Crystal Lake Rd. in McHenry, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those of Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

“Come join us. You’re sure to have a rootin, tootin good time,” says Jenneen Hansen, Director of Marketing for Heritage Woods of McHenry. We’ll be serving a Western Lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Pickren will be performing at 1:30.

Pickren is a descendant of Buffalo Bill Cody. He has shared the stage with George Strait, Merle Haggard, Alabama, the Judds and Dolly Parton and has guest starred on such television shows as The Untouchables, ER, Early Edition and Missing Persons.
