BMA Affordable Assisted Living Community Celebrates National Dance Day
Bradley, IL (PRWEB) July 24, 2013 -- Heritage Woods of McHenry -- a BMA affordable assisted living community -- is celebrating National Dance Day with a special performance by the Johnsburg High School dance team at 1:30 p.m. on July 26.
The varsity team will bring the school’s exciting half-time show to Heritage Woods, 4609 W. Crystal Lake Rd. in McHenry, Illinois.
Jenneen Hansen, Director of Marketing at Heritage Woods, described the performance as a great opportunity for residents and guests who are not able to attend high school sporting events or watch live dance routines often.
“We try to provide as many enriching experiences as we possibly can for our residents,” Hansen said, “and this is just another example of how we are working to keep them connected to the people of McHenry County.”
A member of the Johnsburg dance squad has a personal connection to Heritage Woods; her grandmother lives in the community. Many of her high school teammates volunteer at Heritage Woods throughout the year as well.
The team’s performance will take place on Friday – a day before National Dance Day, which is recognized on the last Saturday in July.

The Heritage Woods of McHenry affordable assisted living community combines residential apartment-home living with the availability of personal assistance, help with medications, and a variety of convenience and support services.
“We provide older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home,” says Hansen.
Residents live in private apartments that they furnish and decorate to their tastes. Each of the studio and one-bedroom floor plans includes a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning, and an emergency alert system.
Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Three meals per day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.
“Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in activities and special programs,” says Hansen.
Heritage Woods of McHenry is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., of Bradley, Illinois.
