Atomic Labs Announces Pion

Atomic Labs is proud to announce the introduction of Pion for Web Analytics, Log File Processing and Real-Time ETL.

Mountain View, CA (PRWEB) September 29, 2008 -- Today Atomic Labs announced the first release of Pion. Pion addresses the needs of companies dealing with some of the most performance-intensive challenges facing the IT industry today with its fast event-driven architecture. The Pion architecture is able to process millions of complex calculations per second on commodity hardware.

Pion includes unique capabilities to help companies focus on these high volume and performance sensitive challenges:

Tagless Web Analytics - Many large companies want to be able to track their web users without the costs, data loss and overhead associated with conventional page tags. Pion allows companies to track millions of web sessions in real time without any page modifications or impact on your web infrastructure by passively listening and decoding the conversation between the browser and the web server. This information can then be sent in real time to your own data warehouse or your normal web analytics solutions such as Omniture, Google Analytics, WebTrends, CoreMetrics and more.

Next Generation Web Analytics - Most companies have been doing web analytics for years and are looking to take the next step to gain a broader perspective. Pion enables them to merge online behaviors with offline data to create a more holistic view of the customer to drive better business results.

Log Processing - Every IT organization has hundreds of thousands of log files. Each file likely contains both the mundane and the critical, from "server up" to "unauthorized user" messages. Pion helps companies save time and resources by filtering the critical events from the noise to feed event management systems, compliance databases and more.

Real-Time Extract Transform and Load (ETL) - Every company has critical data. Too often though, that data is separated by differences in format, storage medium and location which keeps the data from being available when you need it. Traditional ETL solutions are often batch based and therefore the data is delayed. Pion can ensure that you have the latest data to make the critical decisions businesses depend on.

Supported Platforms:
Pion runs on Windows (2003, 2008, XP and Vista), Linux, as well as Mac OS X and supports SQLite. Pion Enterprise Edition supports Oracle, IBM DB2, MS-SQL, MySQL Enterprise, Informix, Sybase, PostgreSQL, Centura and ODBC databases.

Availability and Pricing:
Pion is available today from Atomic Labs. Pion is available in both an open source Community Edition, and an Enterprise Edition which includes Atomic Labs premium support as well as advanced functionality for large IT organizations. Pion Enterprise Edition starts at $12,500. Pion Community Edition is freely distributed under the GPL Affero license. For more details please visit our website to learn more about licensing options.
