Building on last year's success, the conference's distinguished roster of area presenters and speakers will offer their industry expertise, updates and practical solutions to address the key challenges facing independent business owners and executives of SMEs in Austin. Widespread community support for the conference includes the Austin Chamber of Commerce, the Central Texas Angel Network, PrismNet, Austin Technology Council, and the Small Business Development Program.

Gary Farmer, chairman of Opportunity Austin, will open the Conference and address the status of economic development in Central Texas and discuss upcoming issues affecting business throughout the area. Jamie Rhodes, chief executive officer of Perceptive Sciences, Inc., and founder of the Central Texas Angel Network will lead a panel of Angel investors providing valuable information about submitting business plans for potential funding, and conducting a Fast Pitch competition for entrepreneurs.
