Bark in the Park San Jose Celebrates 20 Years

We offer dogs and the humans that love them the opportunity to shop, explore and enjoy a day in a neighborhood park.

Bark in the Park San Jose 2016, the largest dog festival in the United States, will celebrate its 20th year on September 17, 2016, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at William Street Park (Corner of E. William Street and S. 16th Street) in downtown San Jose, California.

Bark in the Park San Jose 2016 is an annual dog festival that attracts 3,500 dogs and 15,000 humans. Located in an expansive, tree lined park, this casual event features contests, beverages, food, agility courses, kid’s activities, and over 65 different dog-related vendors and services. And dogs, lots of dogs. Admission is free with a $5 donation per dog encouraged.

Bark in the Park San Jose is not only great fun for dog lovers but an information resource,” said Marni Kamzan, co-chair of Bark in the Park San Jose. “Along with the dog related vendors, rescue groups and contest, we have a few special events. There will be a demonstration of Guide Dogs for the Blind on the Main stage at 2 pm, and a presentation by Peaceful Pathways In-Home Pet Hospice at 3 pm.”

“This event has grown over the years from a handful of dog lovers to attract thousands. We offer dogs and the humans that love them the opportunity to shop, explore and enjoy a day in a neighborhood park,” added Lynda Chase, co-chair of Bark in the Park San Jose. “Everyone has a great time and raising funds for local animal related charities is a bonus.”
