Benefit Concert to Assist Victims of October, 2007 San Diego Wildfires
"Great White," with friends "Dokken," "Sweet" and "Asia" will be coming to Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California, Friday, October 24th in a benefit concert "Promoting Healing through Music" courtesy Love and Roll Productions to benefit RB United, an agency who assists fire-impacted families in the San Diego area.
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) October 1, 2008 -- A Benefit Concert to assist the victims of the October, 2007 San Diego wildfires will rock Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California, Friday, October 24th, 2008 with the lineup "Great White", "Dokken", "Sweet" and "Asia" featuring John Payne. This concert, "Promoting Healing through Music," will help raise awareness and funds for the RB United Coalition.
The RB United Coalition, created after the fires of October 2007 by a grant from the San Diego Foundation, is now the home of six long term recovery centers (LTRC) for the San Diego area, the hardest hit area being Rancho Bernardo. It is assisting fire impacted families and victims in rebuilding the community. The RB United Coalition's LTRC provides advocacy, coordination of assistance and information on available services for all parties affected. The RB Coalition has also created task forces working on addressing environmental, HOA, Senior, youth and the underinsured. All of San Diego was affected in many different ways by the fires and hope this will bring the community together to recover, rebuild and heal.
Formed by local residents and fire victims as well, Love and Roll Productions is spearheading the efforts in putting on this benefit concert. "It is for the benefit of our community, turning a negative experience into a positive one," said Love and Roll Productions President Mr. Vincent Puma. "The response and exposure for the event I've seen in just the last three weeks has been overwhelming. My objective is to raise a lot of money for my community and help all I can. We never had someone like RB United here and I want to give them all the assistance in funding possible. My plan will also be to continue on long after this 1st Anniversary. I love what RB United is doing for fire victims."
