The fast-rotating precision blade of the Whizard® Series II trimmer enables users to make accurate cuts effortlessly, improving the ability to separate fat from lean and maximizing meat yields. The Whizard® Series II is the latest generation of circular-blade trimmers which were first pioneered by Bettcher Industries in the late 1980s. The Series II line incorporates patented design elements to enhance operator productivity, safety and comfort, such as captive hex-head housing screws that provide faster, easier removal and reinstallation of the blade housing and blades. It is also easier for operators to fine-tune the blade adjustment. These are available as electric or pneumatic versions.
Other improvements make Whizard® Series II trimmers markedly different
from preceding designs. For example, a new blade/housing interface generates less “chatter” and heat for reduced vibration, thereby improving worker operating conditions. An enhanced gear mesh design contributes to smoother blade operation, while better proximity to the built-in steeling device button on the trimmer makes steeling blades quicker and more comfortable.
All Whizard® Series II handpieces feature a contoured handle to reduce grip force and torque momentum. Operators can choose from five handle sizes that are easily interchangeable. The handles, which are color-coded by size for easy identification, are very comfortable – even during periods of extended use. An optional hand-strap provides added operational security, as desired, while the flex-shaft/casing attaches to the trimmer handpiece with a simple two-action motion.
