Author Bob Estes practiced ophthalmology for nearly 20 years before reviewing disability claims for social security for another 10. During these times and throughout other points in his life, Estes accumulated numerous stories he says he will never forget.
“Tales in Review” chronicles Estes’ life through numerous stories experienced by him or his friends. He also includes works of fiction, as well as his opinion on the many facets of life in the United States.
An excerpt from “Tales in Review”:
“Approaching construction areas I automatically reduced my speed from 75 to posted 40 or 35 mph. With signs indicating the right lane was closed ahead I similarly moved into the second lane. Invariably ‘Mr. Selfish’ (my adopted name for this motorist) would race ahead in the right hand lane, intruding himself into our lane of traffic. This would slow us even more, sometimes requiring a near complete stop on our parts.”
