Boda Borg Prepares for Spooky Experience in Sweden

Halloween is popular in the USA, but the annual Halloween Week Event at Boda Borg in Sweden has shown that Swedes are having great fun with the scary theme also.

Torpshammar, Sweden (Vocus/PRWEB ) October 23, 2008 -- Many people believe that Halloween is largely a commercial event very popular in the USA. But a few years ago, one of the eight Boda Borg locations in Sweden redecorated for Halloween, including spooky sounds and live ghosts in their unique gaming experiences they call www.bodaborg.com [Questing. They were a little surprised at the number of additional guests who came to enjoy the Halloween fun. Today, all eight Boda Borg locations in Sweden transform for nine full days and nights into Sweden's largest Halloween event - attracting thousands from all over Sweden.

"Our first Halloween event was just for a few days, and the decorations and sounds were mostly for our staff's enjoyment. But, guests really liked it, and began bringing friends back with them," says Elisabeth Bjorkgren, one of the owners of Boda Borg Karlskoga. At Boda Borg Oxelosund, owner Stefan Kemi followed Karlskoga's lead and also began putting live ghosts in the Quests to give adventuring guests a friendly and unexpected fright. Even the food becomes more ghoulish in Oxelosund. Both locations receive thousands of extra guests each year now during the week of Halloween, and the event has grown to include all Boda Borg locations.

Bengt Walter at the Boda Borg Europe headquarters in Torpshammar adds, "These events seem to prove that Sweden really likes Halloween. It is a bit strange, but also really fun to see both adults and kids actually excited and wanting to be a bit frightened in a spooky place. So now there are two mysteries at Boda Borg… how to solve our Quests, and if you will meet a ghost in the Quests during Halloween."

The Halloween Event at Boda Borg runs from October 25 - November 2, 2008. For more information visit www.bodaborg.com or contact David Spigner at david.spigner @ bodaborg.com.
