Boise New Home sales in May 2012 was up 100% compared to May 2011. That is an amazing increase but the Boise Idaho Real Estate Market has shifted, over the past 12 months. According to the Idaho MLS the number of homes for sale has decreased by 22% from one year ago.
This decrease is important to note because it means that home buyers have fewer choices. If they cannot find a home that fits their needs on the market, many will decide to look at new construction. Also, buyers are starting to bid on homes, even above the asking price, which is driving home values upward. If a home buyer is ready to move, this exercise gets very frustrating and many are opting towards new construction.
Idaho Home Builders believe that new construction has always been a better choice when searching for a new place to live but now it is becoming increasingly clearer. Over the last year or so, the inventory of homes for sale in Boise, Idaho has been declining and demand has been rising as home buyer interest is returning.
