The American Breast Cancer Foundation has teamed up with Pilot Pen to create a line of new products showing support for the fight against breast cancer.
The American Breast Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit committed to providing direct financial assistance to uninsured and underserved individuals for diagnostic tests to aid in the early detection and survival of breast cancer. To show support Pilot Pen is launching 10 new items within their already top selling product lines to support breast cancer awareness.
“Pilot Pen is providing the American Breast Cancer Foundation with an incredible opportunity to raise awareness and support for the fight against breast cancer,” said Aimee Weil, CEO of the American Breast Cancer Foundation. “The new product line will be a great asset in getting our organization’s message out to women all across America.”
In association with the American Breast Cancer Foundation, Pilot Pen, producer of America’s number one selling gel pen and number one selling ergonomic ballpoint pen, has created a line of pens in support of breast cancer awareness. All 10 new products will be packaged with a pink breast cancer awareness theme featuring the symbolic pink ribbon. Each pen is uniquely designed with a breast cancer awareness pink ribbon also imprinted on the barrel for clear visibility and identification.
“We are delighted to be partnering with the American Breast Cancer Foundation” said Robert Silberman, Vice President of Marketing at Pilot Pen Corporation of America. “It is truly a valuable and worthy organization. Our desire is to help bring greater awareness to the fight against breast cancer and to aid in providing diagnostic testing for early detection for those individuals who otherwise wouldn’t have access.”
Currently, 2.4 million women living in the U.S. today have been diagnosed with and treated for breast cancer. That is 1 out of every 8 women; Many of whom are uninsured and underserved. The American Breast Cancer Foundation is the non-profit organization trying to fill this gap in service for women (and men) across the country. They are providing financial assistance to aid in the early diagnosis, treatment and survival of breast cancer – real help, right now, to those in need!
“Pilot Pen’s Breast Cancer Awareness product line will enable us to help many more individuals in their fight against breast cancer with this new product line, committing 10% of sales of the line through 2011. The fall in the economy has had a direct relationship on the increase in demand on our services,” according to Ms. Weil, “their help is a much needed relief.”
Each year, thousands of women and men nationwide receive services through the American Breast Cancer Foundation’s Key to Life Breast Cancer Assistance Program (877-KEY-2-LIFE). The program provides direct assistance in the form of financial grants for annual mammogram screenings, breast cancer diagnostic tests to find or rule out breast cancer, as well as support items such as emergency treatment, wigs, prostheses and medications.
