While most new water properties need time for fish stock to develop, the centerpiece of the Towne Lake community will have fully accessible fishing holes from day one. Caldwell Companies hired Lake Management Services, L.P. to provide aquatic habitat and freshwater fishery management services. During the first build-out phase, Mac McCune president, Lake Management Services, installed artificial fish habitats, hiding structures, and spawning beds to provide the fish a place to grow as the construction progresses. Once the feature is fully filled and stocked, the large-mouth bass, bluegill sunfish, and channel catfish will immediately have a viable habitat, creating fishable destinations that are immediately usable for all Towne Lake residents. Caldwell Companies has ensured that there will be many areas to catch fish throughout Towne Lake.
"Fishing is deeply rooted in Texas culture so our goal was to establish a viable urban fishing lake that provides an additional benefit to the Towne Lake community from the very beginning," said McCune.
