Calumet Photographic Celebrates in The Big Apple
Grand opening at new flagship store April 9 - 14.
New York (Vocus/PRWEB ) April 10, 2007 -- After serving New York photographers for 22 years, Calumet Photographic has moved into its new 15,000-square-foot flagship store at 22 W. 22nd Street in New York. The two-story location offers an extensive selection of the hottest new photographic and video gear while providing customers with a creative environment and New York's most experienced, knowledgeable sales staff.
Calumet is celebrating its grand opening week April 9 through 14 with discounts, giveaways, special financing, product demonstrations, educational workshops and seminars. All week customers will receive 22 percent off the 22 most popular products in the store. "Our mission is to empower the world of image-makers and have fun doing it," said Michael Miller, president of Calumet Photographic. "Our new location is a terrific destination for everyone who is passionate about photography."
Another highlight of grand opening week will be Vendor Days, April 12 through 14. Superstars of photographic equipment like Adobe, Apple, Canon, Epson, Hasselblad, Ilford, Lacie, Nikon and Tamron will offer product demonstrations and giveaways in the store's second-floor gallery.
The New York store also includes demonstration studios with space dedicated to high-end digital equipment, a large seminar room to share cutting-edge information and special events, plus a 3,000-square-foot photo gallery for local, national and international exhibitions.
The photo gallery will officially open in May with Parsons The New School for Design Photography 2007 BFA Exhibition. The work of New York celebrity, beauty and fashion photographer Francis Hills will be featured during the months of June and July.
