More than 1 in 3 people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime (American Cancer Society). On 9/11, 2002 at the age of 23, Matt Jones was one of those people. He has now taken the tragedy of cancer and turned it into triumph by becoming an inspirational and motivational and leadership speaker (http://www.MatthewDJones.com). This year he will celebrate his 10-year anniversary of his bone morrow transplant on April 14th. To celebrate his is giving away his book, “Cancer is a Marathon” for free.
During his senior year in college, Matt’s life changed forever; he was diagnosed with cancer. It would spread to his brain and when he slipped into an unconscious state, doctors did not think he would live. Against all odds Matt recovered and received a successful bone marrow transplant. Due to brain damage he had to relearn how to walk and has now ran five marathons on five continents.
