Pueblo, CO (PRWEB) October 17, 2013
Cañon National Bank has reduced its energy costs by $509 per month as a result of energy-efficient interior and exterior fluorescent and LED lighting upgrades at four of its branches in Cañon City and Pueblo West, CO. The lighting upgrades, completed by SmartWatt Energy via the Black Hills Energy Small & Medium Business Direct Install Program, have resulted in a Black Hills Energy incentive of $9,905.
The Black Hills Energy Small & Medium Business Direct Install Program provides an incentive of up to 60 percent to help businesses with an average demand use of 350 kW or less per month conduct energy-efficiency upgrades. SmartWatt, the administrator and implementation contractor for the program, provides a free energy evaluation, recommended energy-efficiency upgrades and interest-free financing for the businesses’ remaining portion of the costs.
After completing an energy evaluation of all interior and exterior lighting systems at four of Cañon National Bank’s facilities, SmartWatt engineered a solution to replace the existing lighting systems with energy-efficient fluorescent and LED lighting fixtures. In addition to substantial energy savings, the new lighting fixtures will provide a better quality and quantity of lighting, resulting in enhanced appearance and security of the banks.
