Businesses should find creative ways to both donate to charities and inspire their communities.

Sunrise, Florida (PRWEB) July 31, 2012

For Immediate Release

Sunrise, Florida August 1, 2012 – Capitol Supply’s “Like” to Give Campaign on Facebook is raising money for the National Military Family Association, which has an A rating on Charity Navigator – a charity rating organization.

For the month of August, the company will donate $1, for each Facebook “Like” on its Facebook company page (http://www.Facebook.com/CapitolSupply), to the National Military Family Association. Each month a different charity will be featured. The company will donate a maximum of $1, 000 per month.

The National Military Family Association sponsors several programs, including 1) scholarships for military spouses who have a hard time establishing careers because they are constantly moving, and 2) children's camps and family retreats, serving more than 1,000 service members, spouses, and children of deployed and wounded warriors.

Capitol Supply’s “Like” to Give Campaign is designed to help improve quality of life for deployed and severely injured military personnel and bring awareness to military charities that are serving military personnel, and their families.

Robert Steinman, Capitol Supply’s CEO, hopes other businesses will find creative ways to both donate to charities and provide inspiration in their communities.

Many employees of Capitol Supply have family members in the military so the charity project is important to them. And, several of them appear on the Facebook page and discuss their thoughts about the project.

David Ostan, the company’s vice president of sales, formerly worked on quality of life initiatives on Air Force bases in Germany. He said, “Military charities provide a valuable and much needed resource for injured soldiers and their families.”

Capitol Supply, founded in 1983, is a privately owned company based in Sunrise, Florida. Its main focus is providing supplies and equipment (through GSA contracts) to the U.S. military and other government agencies. The firm has more than 2 million products on its website – http://www.CapitolSupply.com.
