Jim ‘n Nick’s Bar-B-Q Selected as Charleston.com's Best Kid-Friendly Restaurant of 2013

Charleston lovers from far and wide cast their vote for the area’s best kid-friendly restaurant. After several weeks of voting, the results are in, with the winner of Charleston’s most kid-friendly restaurant being Jim ‘n Nick’s Bar-B-Q, and Sweet CeCe’s getting a well-deserved honorable mention.

In March 2013, Charleston lovers from far and wide cast their vote for the area’s best kid-friendly restaurant.

The competition was between the following nine restaurants that love the little ones (and are loved by Charleston youngins in return):

  •     A. W. Shucks Seafood Restaurant
  •     Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
  •     California Dreaming
  •     Hominy Grill
  •     Jim ‘n Nick’s Bar-B-Q
  •     Manny’s Neighborhood Grill
  •     Sullivan’s Restaurant
  •     Sweet CeCe’s
  •     Wild Wing Café

Profiles for each of the restaurants were posted on the Charleston.com blog, which readers could peruse before placing their vote for which restaurant should be deemed the most kid-friendly.

After several weeks of voting, the results are in, with the winner of Charleston’s most kid-friendly restaurant being Jim ‘n Nick’s Bar-B-Q, and Sweet CeCe’s getting a well-deserved honorable mention.

Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q, situated at 288 King St downtown and 4964 Center Pointe Dr in the Tanger Outlet area of North Charleston, is the Holy City’s answer to great barbeque. The locally owned restaurant chain has meal deals that can help even the largest family save some cash.

Trailing closely behind Jim ‘n Nick’s is the local favorite hot spot for froyo—Sweet CeCe’s. The frozen yogurt shop, located at 99 South Market Street, is all about the kiddies—even its décor is brightly colored and decorated to appeal to little ones’ eyes.
