Employees completed an in-depth survey to vote the global company as a top workplace.

Chem-Trend, a global leader in the development, production and marketing of high-performance release agents, purging compounds and mold maintenance products, has been named a 2016 “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®” in Metro Detroit.

Supported by the National Association of Business Resources, the “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®” competition is a survey-based program, which recognizes the most influential, trend-setting companies across the country. Employees of participating companies are asked to complete an anonymous survey to assess a wide variety of categories, including communication, work-life balance, diversity, education opportunities, recognition, community initiatives and retention, among others.

The “Best and Brightest” program is widely recognized in a number of cities across the country as a platform for sharing services and education that benefit companies and employees alike. Companies with the highest survey marks are invited to a regional awards symposium.

“At Chem-Trend, we take pride in the way our employees implement foresight, collaboration and professionalism across the board, and we’re always looking for ways to encourage that shared vision,” said Devanir Moraes, Chem-Trend president and CEO. “Our culture revolves around our Chem-Trend values and the Freudenberg Guiding Principles, which have helped us create an atmosphere for our employees to succeed by pushing beyond the business side of the workplace.”

“We want to set our people up for success, so we’re continuously seeking opportunities to implement more employee programs at Chem-Trend,” said John Lundin, vice president and general manager, North America, Chem-Trend. “Being named among the ‘Best and Brightest’ validates our efforts in providing employee events, training opportunities and global collaboration, and it shows these efforts bring value.”

Presented by the Michigan Business and Professional Association, Metropolitan Detroit's Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® were recognized on September 23, 2016 at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. Special awards were given to Elite-level companies, those that rank the highest in one of the 12 survey categories.
