As Chevrolet gets ready to celebrate the 100th birthday of Corvette, it has garnered fans and loyalists from all over the world. Many of those enthusiasts will certainly be present at the 3rd Annual Corvette Show coming up on Saturday April 16th, 2011 from 10am to 2pm at Jim Ellis Chevrolet in Atlanta.
Mark Frost, General Manager of Jim Ellis Chevrolet in Atlanta announced today that the Corvette Show is a joint project between Jim Ellis Chevrolet and Corvette Atlanta, the local chapter of one of the most well-know Corvette clubs in America.
In previous years, the Corvette Show has been one of the largest collections of Corvettes dating from 1953 up to to late models in the Southeast. This year shouldn't be any different with Corvettes coming from all over Georgia for the event and even beyond. The dealership actually clears its new Chevrolet inventory from the lot for the day to make room for all of the Corvettes and attendees.
"The Corvette is an icon, America's Sports Car, and the event is a fun-filled annual celebration for Corvette and car lovers in general," said Frost. The Show includes awards for show participants including Best-In-Class, Bribe-The-Judge, and a $500 award for the club that brings the most Corvettes. There will be a raffle, door prizes, food, and music.
Attendance is free for spectators however participants that wish to display their cars will be charged $20 if pre-registered by April 5 and $25 the day of the show. All proceeds benefit the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta AFLAC Cancer Center.
