Chooseco Announces Secret Online Endings to Latest Choose Your Own Adventure Books
Choose Your Own Adventure (CYOA) launches secret online endings to latest editions.
Burlington, VT (PRWEB) October 11, 2006 -- Chooseco (http://www.cyoa.com), publishers of the Choose Your Own Adventure (CYOA) books, the world-wide phenomenon children’s interactive series that entertained young readers in the early 80’s, is offering secret online endings to a number of the latest CYOA releases.
Initially published in 1979 and recently re-launched, Choose Your Own Adventure ® is a well-loved children’s book series for readers aged 7 - 12. Each book makes you the hero as you work your way through multiple choices to reach different endings. Now one of those endings can only be found online.
“These endings are different than straight text endings in the books,” Shannon Gilligan, Chooseco Publisher says. “There is a small computer game imbedded in each online ending. You can’t get to the final conclusion until the game is successfully completed.”
Choose Your Own Adventure games being hosted online include a space cowboy shoot ‘em up, pattern puzzles, visual and aural memory tests and a race car obstacle course.
The secret endings are accessed online via a url provided in the books or directly at the Choose Your Own Adventure series website, www.cyoa.com. A special link on the site sends visitors to a trivia question about the book they’re reading in order to unlock the secret online ending.
Additional Choose Your Own Adventure titles are slated for release monthly throughout 2007. “Going forward, every Choose Your Own Adventure will have a secret ending on the website,” said Melissa Bounty, Senior Editor in charge of the project.
