“I would like readers to see that these kinds of coincidences happen to all of us. But it is important to recognize them so as to guide ourselves through a new path of awareness.”

Claudia Compagnucci is a firm believer in the power of love and coincidence. These themes unite in her new romance novel, “Northern Hemisphere Southern Hemisphere: The Power of Love” (published by Balboa Press), in which a series of coincidences separates fated lovers while love keeps them connected.

Clara and Daniel are both members of Argentina’s working class. Because of their status, the two have little of value beyond their love for each other. This makes it all the more upsetting when fate lands Daniel in Sweden.

“Northern Hemisphere Southern Hemisphere” follows Clara and Daniel, as the two take separate paths that plant them on opposite sides of the planet. With Daniel gone, Clara will soon be married. But when she discovers a letter from Daniel on the morning of her wedding day, she begins to question everything. Did she find the letter through blind luck, or was it a fateful coincidence?

“I want readers to understand the way meaningful coincidences work in our lives,” Compagnucci says. “I would like readers to see that these kinds of coincidences happen to all of us. But it is important to recognize them so as to guide ourselves through a new path of awareness.”
