Ottawa, Canada (PRWEB) July 24, 2012
Ottawa has just topped MoneySense magazine’s 2012 “Canada’s Best Places to Live” list, reports prominent area Realtor Patricia Chiarelli, a specialist in Ottawa condos. According to Chiarelli, the city’s attractiveness as a place to live can also be seen in the growing demand for real estate here, especially condos.
“You don’t really need a magazine ranking to tell you that Ottawa is a great place to live,” she says. “All you have to do is to take a look at the market for real estate in Ottawa. People want to move here—are moving here, in fact—and they’re investing in homes and condos throughout the city. The demand for condos, in particular, is rising significantly and there are many new developments in the Downtown area such as those in Centretown, ByWard Market, Little Italy, the Golden Triangle, and so on.”
This is actually the third year in a row that Ottawa has bagged the top spot in MoneySense’s annual list. According to the magazine, the city’s “lofty perennial status is due to its consistently above-average rankings in multiple categories.” These include health care, culture, transit, household income, and walkability.
“Ottawa is the capital city,” adds Chiarelli, “which means there is a wide range of government jobs to be had and there’s no shortage of employment opportunities in other industries. Apart from that, the quality of life here is pretty much unbeatable. To those of us who live and work in Ottawa, rankings like the one from MoneySense don’t come as much of a surprise.”
An Ottawa native, Chiarelli has been one of the city’s leading real estate professionals for years and ranks among the top 5% of Royal LePage real estate agents throughout Canada. She is known for being a top negotiator and for her particular expertise in condos for sale in Ottawa.
