Industry Expert to Discuss Importance of Linking Employee Compensation to Performance

Webinar presented by HR.com and Cornerstone OnDemand to offer best practices for driving a pay-for-performance organization

Santa Monica, Calif. (Vocus/PRWEB ) December 17, 2008 -- Not only is there tough competition among businesses for skilled labor, the economic downturn also is making it increasingly challenging for organizations to motivate and retain their high performers. One way to effectively manage existing employees and do more with less is by linking performance with compensation. "Driving a Pay-for-Performance Organization," a new Webinar hosted by HR.com and leading talent management software provider Cornerstone OnDemand, will examine how HR and talent management executives can connect employee behaviors and performance to compensation to foster a high-performing workforce and increase retention rates. The session will be held Thursday, December 18, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. PT.

Session attendees will learn how to:

  • Strengthen the linkage among goal creation and alignment, performance management, associate compensation, and associate development,
  • Increase visibility into rewards and performance,
  • And drive higher retention though meaningful rewards.

"In the last decade, talent management solutions have come a long way toward filling the initial gaps that existed with incentive compensation," said Charles Coy, Director of Product Marketing, Cornerstone OnDemand. "A pay-for-performance strategy is most successful within the context of an integrated talent management system. Tying development and performance data such as competency assessments and goals enables compensation decision-making that is informed by accurate and timely performance data."
