Hampton, VA (PRWEB) January 15, 2013
Guests of the Courtyard Hampton Hotel will be taken to new heights when they experience $1.2 million in renovations.
The Hampton, VA, hotel’s complete makeover to its lobby and guest rooms emphasizes Marriott’s commitment to providing comfortable and flexible areas for guests to eat, drink, work, socialize and sleep.
Travelers will feel the difference the moment they step foot into the hotel’s reimagined lobby built around The Bistro. The new, café-style restaurant raises the bar on breakfast and dinner and features flexible seating and strategically placed flat-screen TVs. Families or small business groups can gather around a large communal table to enjoy fresh seasonal fruit, thick-cut French toast, Daybreak fried eggs, burgers, pizzas, salads, soups and made-to-order sandwiches. Diners also can pull up a chair at the bar or enjoy comfortable seating at additional tables while imbibing craft, domestic and imported beers, wines by the glass, cocktails concocted by a mixologist or any number of grande-sized Starbucks drinks. A 24-hour Market also is available for quick snacks or to pick up toothpaste or toiletries that guests may have forgotten at home.
The lobby at one of the latest renovated hotels near Langley AFB now boasts semi-private welcome pedestals that have replaced the traditional desk, a trend at Marriott hotels across the country. This allows friendly and courteous staff members to provide one-on-one attention during the check-in and check-out processes. Media pods along the perimeter of the welcome center sport flat-screen TVs and personal remotes so guests can relax on comfortable furniture while taking advantage of the hotel’s free Wi-Fi or charging their cell phones, tablets or laptops.
A GoBoard, 52-inch LCD touch-screen TV in the lobby, sets the Courtyard Hampton apart from other hotels near Hampton Coliseum. The interactive GoBoard allows guests to get driving directions, scope out things to do in and around Hampton, track weather information for any city and check out flight information from Norfolk International or other regional airports. A separate Boarding Pass Station allows visitors to print boarding passes for more convenient traveling, while a comfortable home theater encourages groups to gather for a viewing of the latest movies.
The Hampton hotel aims even higher to please guests with the complete restyling of its 135 rooms and 11 suites. New luxurious bedding on one king or two queen-sized mattresses features cotton-rich sheets, custom comforters and fluffier pillows. Mini-refrigerators are now available in all rooms that also include comfortable pull-out sofa beds, large desks with ergonomic chairs, irons and ironing boards, coffeemakers, 37-inch TVs and Paul Mitchell products in spacious bathrooms.
