Gardens Flourish as the Credit Crunch Hits
Results from the latest Legal & General MoneyMood Survey shows that despite money being tight we still are in the mood to spend on our homes and gardens.
(PRWEB) July 24, 2008 -- Results from the latest Legal & General MoneyMood Survey shows that despite money being tight we still are in the mood to spend on our homes and gardens! In fact 42 per cent of people questioned spent between £1 and £1,000 on plants for the garden, garden furniture, garden tools or home improvements during the month of June (Figure 1). This can be compared to 32 per cent of those surveyed who were in the mood to spend between £1 and £1,000 on a special event or large purchase that was outside of their normal monthly expenditure (Figure 2).
