CyberGlove Systems, makers of the CyberGlove® family of data glove and haptic devices and WorldViz, makers of Vizard, the VR communities' favored interactive 3D content creation software have announced a technological partnership that looks to dramatically enhance both companies' product lines. WorldViz will support the CyberGlove® family of data gloves as an approved peripheral for use with Vizard. WorldViz provides a native device driver that will enable real-time analysis data capture of the ariticulated hand with the CyberGlove® wired or wireless hardware products.
"We have supported the CyberGlove® line of products ever since their days with Immersion and we will continue our support of this best-of-breed motion capture solution. I look forward to working with Faisal and his team for many years to come", says Andy Beall, CEO of WorldViz.
In an effort to solidify the partnership, CyberGlove Systems and WorldViz will be attending and sharing a booth that features both companies' products at SIGGRAPH 2009 in New Orleans from August 4, 2009 to August 6, 2009 in booth number 3631. "SIGGRAPH 2009 will be the perfect opportunity to showcase the best products our companies have to offer to the Virtual Reality user base. The demonstration we setup will be immersive, interactive and definitely impressive", says Faisal Yazadi, CEO of CyberGlove Systems. Attendees will have a chance to walk into a virtual world where they can interact and manipulate objects in this world.
"Our partnership with CyberGlove Systems gives our clients an enhanced environment to do more than just visualize the simulated scene. User's can now grasp and manipulate their VR creation with minimal coding", says Andy Beall, President/CEO of WorldViz. Based out of Santa Barbara, California, WorldViz has been allowing users to quickly create virtual scenes in a cost-effective and timely manner.

About CyberGlove Systems LLC
CyberGlove Systems is the worldwide leader in data glove technology and offers the most sophisticated hand-centric motion capture solutions in the marketplace. CyberGlove Systems' products include four different data glove solutions (CyberGlove®, CyberTouch®, CyberGrasp® and CyberForce®) and its VirtualHand Software Development Kit (SDK). Its products allow users to capture detailed finger, hand, and arm movement in virtual reality, allowing users to interact with digital objects in virtual reality.
CyberGlove Systems technology benefits customers by allowing them to more quickly prototype and animate in virtual reality thereby saving them both time and money. Furthermore, CGS is the only data glove solution offering both kinesthetic force and vibrotactile feedback. This haptic technology benefits customers by simulating realistic physical forces such as gravity and touch for industrial engineering, military, and academic research applications. CGS customers include Fortune 500/Global 500 corporations, government agencies, and universities in the U.S., Europe, Asia, Middle East and South America.
Established in 1990, the CyberGlove® family of products remains the most trusted and widely used data glove solution today with the very best customer support. In 2009, the CyberGlove® business was divested by its former parent company, Immersion Corporation. The base CyberGlove® system is a wireless data glove that accurately captures the movement of a user's fingers and hand, and, in conjunction with the software, maps the movement to a graphical hand on the computer screen, allowing users to "reach in and manipulate" digital objects as if they were physical objects. The most sophisticated product, the CyberForce®, adds whole-arm force feedback allowing users to experience the complete sensation of object manipulation in virtual reality.
About WorldViz LLC
Developed jointly at MIT and the University of California in the early 1990's, WorldViz technologies originally emerged from human behavioral and perception research. With an innovative human centered approach to visual simulation, the first high-end interactive systems were built. Funded by several multi-million dollar grants, the technologies rapidly evolved. Significant interest from industry and academia resulted in the technologies being spun off to WorldViz. From that start WorldViz quickly advanced to being the industry leader in interactive head-mounted display based virtual reality systems. Meanwhile they have been hailed in the industry for providing outstanding support and delivering cost effective visualization solutions to the academic, commercial, and government arenas.
WorldViz is an industry leader in interactive virtual reality solutions. The company's flagship products are VIZARD, the VR communities' favored interactive 3D content creation software and PPT X4, the most cost effective wide-area tracking system currently available. WorldViz provides high quality, low-cost immersive 3D products to researchers, educators, designers, manufacturers, and other professionals, integrating all common VR products on the market and delivering complete turnkey solutions.
