DBO2's Safety Inspection Software Program, SafetyNet, Saves Kenny Construction Millions of Dollars Over Two-Year Period

Kenny Construction Company has won the "2007 Contractor of the Year in Safety" award from the Inter-Traffic Northern America/American Road & Transportation Builders Annual Safety and Health Conference. The company credits the award and saving millions of dollars to using SafetyNet, an analysis and safety inspection software program developed by San Carlos, California-based DBO2.

San Carlos, CA (PRWEB) December 6, 2007 -- Using the SafetyNet analysis and safety inspection software program developed by San Carlos, California-based DBO2, Kenny Construction Company has won the "2007 Contractor of the Year in Safety" award from the Inter-Traffic Northern America/American Road & Transportation Builders Annual Safety and Health Conference. Kenny Construction, honored for its safety record in self-performing more than one million man-hours, was recently presented with the prestigious award at ITNA's annual conference in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

DBO2's SafetyNet system is an analysis and safety inspection software program that helps construction, mining, energy, insurance and other companies at high risk for catastrophic injury or loss to predict and prevent worker injuries while improving quality and productivity. The system serves as a "net of prevention" by identifying hazards and unsafe trends before they become accidents.

Chicago-based Kenny Construction is a national general contracting company with expertise in tunnels, roads, bridges, stadiums, high-rise condominiums, mass transit and power transmission plants.

According to Daniel D. Zarletti, Vice President of Safety for Kenny Construction, the company has an outstanding track record in managing safety concerns and was the first general contractor to be awarded the National Safety Council's Green Cross for Safety Award in 2003. Kenny Construction has been using SafetyNet for the past two years.

"Since we started using SafetyNet, we have performed more than 15,000 SafetyNet inspections, recorded over one million observations and resolved more than 750 safety issues," Zarletti said. "We estimate that since we started with SafetyNet we have saved millions of dollars in workers compensation and other indirect costs."

About DBO2:
DBO2 was founded in October 2001 and has emerged as the clear leader in measuring human error and its consequence in the workplace. With more than 25 million observations, DBO2 has amassed the largest repository of workplace behaviors and conditions in the world. DBO2's SafetyNet, QualityNet and ProductivityNet software services are currently used on a daily basis at more than 7,000 worksites for some of the world's largest companies.
