Winnipeg, Manitoba (PRWEB) October 15, 2012
In celebration of October, which is “Adopt a Dog Month”, The Winnipeg Humane Society is holding a “Guess the dog breed” contest through its Facebook page. From October 17-24, photos of dogs will be posted to a Facebook album. People are then invited to take a look through the photos and take their best guess as to what breed mix each dog is.
Whether it be a Puggle-Dachshund-Shepherd or a Chow Chow-Chihuahua; the best guesses will be put into a hat and a winner will be drawn. The winner will receive a free DNA My Dog Canine Genetic Test so they can test the DNA of their own furry friend!
“A contest like this really gets people excited about dogs and dog adoption, which is what we’re really focused on this month,” says Aileen White, Director of Communications at The WHS, “Plus, who doesn’t like to look at a bunch of cute dog photos?”
DNA My Dog Canine Genetic Tests are available for purchase at The WHS gift shop. DNA My Dog's simple cheek swab DNA test lets people learn every breed in their dog and gain insight into his or her unique genetic background.
