Anaheim, CALIF. (Vocus) December 1, 2010
Show-stopping tubs and showers from Aquatic – the world leader in innovative and inspirational bathware – will be featured in four bathrooms in real homes exhibited at the 2011 International Builders’ Show, January 12-15, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
The homes are part of Professional Builder’s Show Village, which is always a major attraction for IBS attendees. The exhibit consists of three houses built to the highest standards of construction and design excellence, allowing builders and designers to see the best products available today in a hands-on, installed environment. Palm Harbor Homes, one of the nation's largest marketers of high-end, factory-built homes, and its subsidiary, Nationwide Homes, will provide the houses.
“No one is better than Aquatic at designing gorgeous and feature-rich tubs and showers that relax and rejuvenate bathers, which is why we include the company’s products in our Show Village homes every year,” said Margie Lewis-Wright, Vice President of Design, Palm Harbor Homes. “The freestanding Serenity tubs that will be in two of our master bathrooms truly are works of art and inspired everything else we did with the space. The Cooper tub and A² shower system in the secondary baths likewise provide high-style and great functionality in smaller spaces, proving that you really can have it all.”
SEA BREEZE HOUSE: SERENITY STUDIO 23 AND A² COMPOSITE
Aquatic’s freestanding Serenity Studio 23 tub is the inspiration and centerpiece for the master bathroom in Nationwide’s Sea Breeze house. Bold and modern with clean lines and, in this case, fabricated in a vibrant red, the tub will pop against the more neutral palette of smoky gray, putty and cream used throughout the rest of the room. A few artfully placed red lines and accents on other fixtures and finishes will tie everything together. The Serenity Studio 23 is available in a variety of standard and premium colors and as an air bath or soaker tub.
The house’s 10’ x 8’ secondary bath, serving both a large, upstairs great room and a guest bedroom, will feature one of Aquatic’s A² Composite shower systems. The newest addition to Aquatic’s catalog, these sectional, sheet molded compound (SMC) showers and tub-showers are ideal for new construction and remodeling projects, particularly those with space constraints and/or when builders and remodelers prefer later installation. With a high gloss, smooth wall design and loaded with shelving, A² showers are stylish and make the most of small spaces.
TREASURE SANDS HOUSE: SERENITY 13 AND COOPER 32
A curvy, soft and sensual design, Aquatic’s freestanding Serenity 13 tub likewise is the focal point for the master bath in the Treasure Sands house by Palm Harbor. Also available in standard and premium colors, in this instance, the tub will be finished in two neutral colors – Biscuit and Sandbar. It will be set in a bath grotto, flanked by an in-wall fireplace and framed by shimmering, cream-toned stone and glass mosaics that also will be used throughout the room. Serenity 13 is available as an air bath or soaker.
Aquatic’s Cooper 32 in white will dress up the house’s 9’ x 4’, Jack & Jill secondary bath. Available in soaker and whirlpool models, this skirted tub is a sleek, geometric, sculptural design that creates a crisp, uncluttered and understated look. Although a modern design, the Cooper tub is stylistically versatile, likely to appeal to a broad range of tastes, and conveniently sized for standard bathtub alcoves.
Throughout IBS, Aquatic representatives will be at both Show Village houses featuring the company’s products, available to visit with show attendees, answer questions and provide additional information.
“We’re always excited when we have an opportunity to showcase our products in real houses because it lets people experience how our tubs and showers, all beautiful in their own right, inspire beautiful design throughout an entire bathroom space,” said Dave McFarland, Director of Marketing and New Product Development, Aquatic. “We hope that all IBS attendees will come to Show Village to experience the Aquatic difference first hand.”
