Journey into Healing is an accredited mind-body medicine course offering CME credits (Continuing Medical Education) for physicians, and CEUs (Continuing Education Units) for nurses and allied health practitioners including naturopaths, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and therapists. Special topics include psychoneuroimmunology, stress management techniques, the nutritional factors of illness, evidence-based herbal medicine, and mind-body approaches to cancer, heart disease, depression, anxiety, and digestive disorders.

In addition to sessions with Drs. Chopra and Simon, Journey into Healing features the Chopra Center's Director of Women's Health -Valencia Porter, M.D. - and guest speakers such as renowned holistic oncologist Daniel Vicario, M.D.; and neonatology specialist Jamieson Jones, M.D. Other invited experts include Dr. Dean Ornish, Candace Pert, and Dr. Christiana Northrup.

"In the past ten years, holistic or mind-body medicine has become increasingly recognized and popular in the U.S - in fact, a recent survey by the American Medical Association found that more than 40 percent of Americans regularly seek out alternative healing approaches, including yoga, acupuncture, Ayurveda, massage therapy, and meditation," said Dr. Chopra.

"At Journey into Healing, health care practitioners will have the opportunity to learn a powerful approach to health and well-being that brings together the latest scientific medical discoveries and the wisdom of the ancient healing traditions," added Dr. Chopra.
