Deltek Announces the Winners for First Annual Project Excellence Awards

Deltek, Inc. (NASDAQ: PROJ), the leading provider of enterprise applications software for project-focused organizations, today announced the winners for the first annual Deltek Project Excellence Awards. These awards recognize outstanding customer and partner achievements in improving business processes and performance, increasing profitability and winning new business.

Four organizations have been recognized as winners across four categories.

The Award for Business Impact was presented to Camber Corporation, a leading provider of full-service education, training, acquisition management, and engineering solutions to defense audiences worldwide. Camber won the Business Impact award because of the millions of dollars in revenue improvements they achieved after implementing Deltek’s Costpoint family of products.

The Award for Innovation was presented to SSOE, an international, full-service architecture and engineering firm. SSOE won the Innovation award because of their creative use of Deltek’s Vision product suite to power their corporate budgeting process.

The Award for Implementation was presented to Lockheed Martin’s Maritime Systems & Sensors business unit. This group provides naval surface, air, and undersea applications and sensors for U.S. and allied forces, and is the premier systems integrator of network-centric naval combat systems. The implementation award recognized Lockheed Martin for the depth and breadth of their implementation of Deltek’s Enterprise Project Management suite.
The Partner Award was presented to SilverEdge, a partner who successfully implemented Deltek’s Vision product suite within The Burke Group – a consortium of companies providing a wide spectrum of engineering services including Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. SilverEdge won the award for implementing Deltek Vision to help The Burke Group control costs, increase their ability to forecast revenue, and manage projects for on-time, on-budget delivery.

The winners were selected by a panel including senior Deltek executives and a Senior Analyst from Forrester Research, Andy Salunga. Mr. Salunga is a recognized industry expert on process improvement methodologies, and co-leads Forrester’s research on the project-based solutions marketplace.
