Audi’s command of design, technology, and driver experience has brought continuous attention to our Audi showroom.

In what has been a fantastic year for Audi globally, California’s Desert European Motorcars Ltd. has enjoyed significant success as well. This month, the luxury automobile dealer broke ground on an expanded 8,500-square foot Audi terminal in Rancho Mirage, California.

“Because of Audi’s successful growth and expansion in the ever growing luxury and sports car market, it is with enthusiasm that we invest for the future of Desert European Motorcars and the growing desert market,” said David Murphy, President of Desert European Motorcars, which provides luxury vehicles to the Palm Desert, Palm Springs, La Quinta, and Indio, CA, area.

The building’s design is a fusion of Audi’s “Progress Through Technology” aesthetic and the surrounding desert landscape. With a modern, perforated metal exterior and an interior mezzanine, the museum-inspired structure will “offer clients an intelligent, energized atmosphere in which to experience our Audi offerings,” said Murphy. Design work was performed by Dana Point-based architecture firm Whitfield Associates.

Desert European Motorcars purchased the 1.2 acre property from the City of Rancho Mirage, California, in May of this year, and groundbreaking for the Audi expansion took place earlier this month.
