Winners were selected based on the most outstanding and innovative research proposals with the potential to lead to advancements in the authors' respective fields of study.
"The review committee was impressed by the high caliber of proposals from which we had to select," said Dr. Simmers, Professor of Management at Saint Joseph's University, a member of the review board. "These awards recognize the best of the 45 submissions. We congratulate the doctoral students and their thesis advisors."

- Jamie Patrice Joanou, Arizona State University, Street children and Cityscapes: The use of photovoice as a collaborative method with children living and working on the streets of Lima, Peru. Advisor: Dr. Elizabeth Swadener.

Three honorable mentions received a year's free Premium membership to MyNetResearch. They were:
