As an OB-GYN, I take a compassionate and loving approach with my patients, teaching them how to thrive and manage their herpes diagnosis.

Sheila Loanzon, an obstetrician-gynecologist who was diagnosed with herpes at the age of 20, announces the release of her book, "Yes, I Have Herpes: A Gynecologist's Perspective In and Out of the Stirrups", on July 14, 2016. My book contains herpes facts and information, in addition to providing readers with support in telling a new partner and medical and holistic ways to manage herpes,” states Loanzon.

As an OB-GYN who has been diagnosed with herpes, Loanzon has a unique perspective. In her book, she openly discusses the shame and humiliation she once felt and provides readers with powerful tools to overcome it, accept their herpes diagnosis, reduce outbreaks, and avoid transmission to partners.
