Philadelphia Dress for Success to Outfit Witnesses to Hunger Delegation Headed to Washington, D.C. to Tell Their Story at Russell Senate Building Exhibition

Not-For- Profit Promotes Economic Independence for Disadvantaged Women

Philadelphia PA (Vocus/PRWEB ) April 29, 2009 -- Dress for Success Philadelphia will outfit members of the Witnesses to Hunger delegation headed to Washington, D.C. on May 6 to be part of their exhibit in the rotunda of the Russell Senate Building. The creators of the exhibition will also meet with members of the House and Senate.

Marjorie Nightingale, executive director of Dress for Success Philadelphia, said, "Over 40 courageous young women in Philadelphia have stepped forward in the Witnesses to Hunger initiative to share the glaring day-to-day realities of living in poverty with very young children. Provided with digital cameras, these women have recorded and provided an uncensored view into their daily struggles, their hopes, and their ideas for positive change. At Dress for Success Philadelphia, we are honored to be able to provide these women with the professional clothing needed to travel to Washington to meet with members of Congress and the public to tell their unvarnished stories."
