Elite Meetings International announced today that traffic to its Web site, EliteMeetings.com, grew by 205% in the 30-day period ending February 18, 2009.

The 12,915 absolute unique visits represent a surge from previous 30-day averages. Similarly, unpaid search engine referrals grew by 198% to 10,222. Direct traffic to EliteMeetings.com also grew by 63% to 3,414.
CEO Kelly Foy attributes the growth to a number of factors. At the beginning of January, the company announced that it was taking the unprecedented step of charging no commissions on bookings made through its RFP system. Other contributing factors include the ongoing SEO enhancements and continuous marketing efforts to increase visibility.
