Unity Village, MO (Vocus/PRWEB ) September 10, 2009 -- Author Elizabeth Gilbert will appear at Unity Village on October 6 for an evening lecture and VIP Reception. Elizabeth Gilbert is most famous for her recent book "Eat, Pray, Love." The book profiles the year she spent traveling around the world in search of personal restoration after a difficult divorce. "Eat, Pray, Love" has exploded in popularity with readers across the planet and has been published in over 30 languages with more than five million copies in print. It has been warmly embraced by critics and readers alike.

The lecture, entitled ''Meet Eat, Pray, Love Author - Elizabeth Gilbert,'' will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, at the Unity Village Activities Center southeast of Kansas City, MO. During the talk, Elizabeth Gilbert will provide a firsthand account of her travels and life experiences, which are profiled in her award-winning books and articles. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation. Tickets are $38 (plus a processing fee).

Following her public presentation, Elizabeth Gilbert will be on hand to mingle with guests and sign books during a private VIP Reception. This event will begin at 8:30. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served and only 150 tickets will be sold. The cost is $85 (plus a processing fee). This ticket price includes admission to the lecture earlier in the evening.
