Software and web marketing company Empower Network brought nearly 1,000 attendees and a total economic impact of $1,364,230 to Charlotte for its regional event at the Embassy Suites Concord Charlotte at 5400 John Q. Hammons Dr. NW on June 26-29.
“We hold events like Empower Network’s in high esteem,” says Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority (CRVA) CEO Tom Murray. “Its convention attendees generate valuable economic impact for our community when they stay in our hotels, dine in our restaurants and visit our attractions, and that pays dividends for years to come.”
According to the CRVA, the Empower Network event had a total direct spending of $704,212. The level of the economic impact from the event supports 392 jobs or 13 annual full-time equivalents. State and local taxes generated were $164,733.
“Charlotte was a great location for us to hold an event,” said Empower Network CEO Jonathan Cronstedt. “Charlotte is a great travel hub, with exceptional weather and activities for those who attended the Empower Network event to take advantage of.”
This was a sold-out event for Empower Network. The company’s last event was in New Orleans in May. Its next event is scheduled for October.
