Endsleigh Car Insurance Looks Ahead to the rest of Formula 1 Grand Prix 2009 season

Up to now 2009 has been one of the most exciting and controversial in recent memory, with the major design and regulation changes, turmoil in the paddock as well as Michael Schumacher's proposed return.

After Felipe Massa's terrible accident in Budapest the world held its breath amidst rumours of the return of seven times World Champion, Michael Schumacher, but due to an injury to his neck he won't be fit enough to help out his beloved Ferrari team.

Schumacher injured his neck in a motorcycle accident earlier in the year and because of the injury his body won't be able to cope with the enormous stresses driving a F1 car will put it through. Ferrari has instead opted for replacement driver, Luca Badoer (who returns to F1 after a 10 year absence!) to take up the reins and hopefully inspire, what has in honesty been a sub-par year for the Italian giants, a turnaround in fortunes.

According to Endsleigh car insurance another big story to keep F1 fans intrigued is the news the BMW have decided to quit the sport at the end of the 2009 season. That would make them the second team in eight months to quite the sport; this after Honda withdrew from the F1 paddock in December. The German manufacturer will be focussing on the touring car series, Formula BMW and the American Le Mans series.

So will more teams follow?
