Lots of firsts. For the first time, Entelechy exhibited at ASTD 2014 International Conference & Exposition, May 4-7, 2014 in Washington, DC. Entelechy – a “private label” provider of customized training since 1992 – has been the go-to company when organizations are looking to create their own leadership and management development programs. “In fact, we’ve created training for at least five of the organizations here on the exhibition floor,” told Entelechy’s president, Terence Traut, to one booth visitor. “You may not have heard of Entelechy, but there’s a good chance you’ve seen our work,” continues Traut. “In fact we’ve created training to support presentations of three leadership gurus here: Patrick Lencioni, John Maxwell, and Jack Welch.”
For the first time, Entelechy ran out of marketing materials, halfway through the first day! Demand for a client-customizable, client-owned leadership and management development program was high. Traut explains, “Unleash Your Leadership Potential has all the bells and whistles you’d expect in a world-class management and leadership development program: multi-workshop delivery with interim activities; award-winning content; simple and extremely effective (and adoptable) models; online 360° survey, a track for participants’ bosses to learn and model the content; appropriate technology – a mobile app, WBT, etc.; and engaging activities. What visitors were blown away with was the fact that they weren’t financially tethered to a vendor who seemed to add no value after the initial purchase of the program.”
However, that doesn’t mean that the client isn’t emotionally tethered to the vendor. In another first for Entelechy, Jeff Muoio, VP and GM of MasTec AT, a 5000-person company, volunteered – on his own nickel – to speak to folks about Entelechy, the version of Unleash Your Leadership Potential that we customized for them, and the impact that the program has had on his company. “Jeff’s presence speaks volumes to the effectiveness of the Unleash Your Leadership Potential program and Entelechy’s support,” remarked one booth visitor.
