The convergence of this many industry thought leaders in one place, at the same time is long overdue for Canadian technology professionals.
Attendees will be captivated by keynote presentations featuring John Zachman, (Founder, ZIFA), Art Caston, (Founder, Proact Business Transformation), Thomas Volk, (CEO & President, IDS Scheer), George Paras, (Managing Director, EA Directions), and Mendel Rosenblum, (Founder, VMware).
The agenda features 17 presentations by content experts in dedicated EA and Integration/SOA tracks. The event wraps up with what is sure to be a controversial panel discussion where experts will debate: “Which comes first, EA or SOA?”
The Enterprise Architecture and Integration Summit is produced by the Integration Consortium (IC) in collaboration with the Calgary Enterprise Architecture Forum (CEAF). These organizations are known and respected for bringing together industry leaders and their respective memberships for vendor neutral, educational opportunities.
Phil Unger, CEAF Founder, says “Enterprise Architects in Calgary often find themselves travelling to some faraway place once or twice a year in order to hear about the latest and greatest solutions available. Our goal is to bring the industry experts to the City of Calgary which is the largest IT community in western Canada. Calgary is a technology town so we are looking forward to some great discussions taking place. The caliber of EA and Integration speakers gathering for this event is truly impressive”
“Combining Enterprise Architecture and Integration/SOA into one event is a natural fit. These two areas of technology complement each other so well that the most difficult decision for attendees will be to determine which track session they should attend” says Leanne MacDonald, IC Executive Director.
Industry support for the summit comes from both EA and Integration solution providers including CGI, EA Directions, HP, IBM, IDS Scheer, Informatica, Integration Central, Online Business Systems/Progress Software, OSI Soft, SAP, SAS, Telelogic and VMware. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet representatives from these organizations throughout the day on Monday, May 12th on the exhibition floor.
