Tops list of fastest-growing, privately held companies in Indianapolis
Indianapolis (Vocus/PRWEB ) June 30, 2009 -- IWM Consulting Group was awarded the top spot in the Indiana Business Journal's annual list of the fastest-growing, privately owned companies in Indianapolis. This was attributed to the environmental consulting firm's 695 percent increase in revenue between 2006 and 2008. These sustainable solutions are applied to a wide variety of projects ranging from soil and groundwater remediation, design-build of recycling transfer stations and waste-to-energy feasibility studies.
Vice President of Environmental Services, Greg Scarpone, attributes a portion of the company's success to the business community's desire to make tangible changes to their operations and therefore becoming more environmentally responsible. This new awareness is seen through the redevelopment of Brownfield sites (former manufacturing facilities) to the interest in waste-to-energy technologies.
Having a diverse client roster has also helped the company in its growth. Its client roster includes Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, small businesses and real estate development firms. The company is currently providing construction management services for the redevelopment of an abandoned aluminum foundry into a recycling transfer station located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Additionally, IWM is assisting the Indiana Finance Authority in the Brownfield redevelopment of abandoned petroleum service stations throughout a 28 county area in northern Indiana. The end-result of these projects will be the creation of new businesses and jobs, while removing blighted sites from Indiana communities.
