Evidence Photographers Follow EPIC School to Nashville
Evidence photographers will head to Nashville, Tenn., this January for the unique education and certification options available through the traveling EPIC School
Atlanta (Vocus/PRWEB ) November 5, 2009 -- EPIC School—in a different location almost every year—is coming to the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn., January 10-12, 2010. Focused on helping evidence photographers gain the latest skills they need for a successful, professional career, EPIC School offers education from the basics of evidence photography to in-depth, hands-on workshops and certification opportunities.

“Evidence photography is often in demand, as the need for good forensic evidence increases. From insurance companies to law enforcement agencies, the market is diverse…if photographers have the knowledge and skills required,” says Claire White, the Evidence Photographers International Council (EPIC) association manager. “To hone such skills and keep up to date, evidence photographers need the training found at EPIC School.”
This educational event focuses on making today’s evidence photographers better equipped and ready for the various situations they face. With topics that run the gamut from photographing latent fingerprints, lighting crime scene photographs, testifying in court, processing and better managing files, EPIC School aims to help all industry photographers—both new and advanced.
In addition, the Evidence Photographer Certification will be offered at EPIC School. The material for this unique certification will be presented through hands-on education with a well-respected evidence photography professional, followed by exams (and an image submission to follow).
“I was amazed by how much I learned through the certification process,” says Dror Kopernick, a mechanical engineer and accident reconstructionist who took the certification class at EPIC School 2009. “The class helped me improve my skills and learn many new things about the field of evidence photography, forensic photographs and crime scenes.”
EPIC School brings its extensive offerings together for the third year with Imaging USA, the photo event by the Alliance of Visual Artists (AVA) that drew almost 8,000 attendees last year. By joining forces with Imaging USA, attendees of EPIC School will have access to the industry’s most diverse forum for photographic education. And to keep the structure convenient, all programming will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center.
