Hampton, VA (PRWEB) June 27, 2012
Extech Instruments, makers of the best handheld test and measurement tools, is pleased to support two Electronics 101 programs at the MADExpo (Mid Atlantic Developer Expo) conference in Hampton, VA, held June 27 - 29, 2012. Extech donated ten EX210 Infrared-Enabled Digital Multimeters (DMMs) for hands-on use in these programs.
The two sessions, "Intro to Electronics 101" and "Electronics 101 – Hands-on," will be presented by Sean Westcott and Jean Riescher Westcott, authors of the popular reference book, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Electronics 101.
In these sessions, attendees will be introduced to the basic concepts and then have a chance to get hands-on experience with measuring current and voltage using an Extech digital multimeter, seeing wave forms on an oscilloscope, soldering together a circuit containing a seven-segment display and experiment with digital concepts in sending signals to control the display. Extech vice president, Arpineh Mullaney, commented on the partnership: "We are excited to support young learners and newcomers to electronics who will be participating in these sessions at MADExpo. Electronics is best learned hands-on and we're thrilled we could help realize that approach with a set of the EX210 multimeter, the DMM featured in the Electronics 101 text."
She added, "Extech is proud to continue our collaboration with the Westcott's which first began when Extech team members assisted in the development of the Electronics 101 text."
